THE TEAM

OUR STORY

The journey began in 2006, when Tony pitched Rob his tea idea. In 2012, Rob was pitched a different tea idea and that's when the AHA! moment happened. Rob immediately called Tony to find out what was going on with the Affinitea patents. Together, they put together an agreement to make the Affinitea Brewing System. The hard parts in this process have been completed as the machine and our patented chamber have already been tooled, tested, safety (cETLus) certified, and pilot production has taken place. All our Gourmet Full-Leaf Tea & Herbs have been sourced directly from the garden and broker to make sure we are pairing the finest products for you, the Affinitea VIP member’s. Now, in 2023 the passion continues to allow consumers to enjoy the best tea possible.

Risks and challenges

We have worked extremely hard to make this product ready for Kickstarter and full-scale manufacturing. Based on our strong experience with kitchen electrics and full-leaf tea & herbs we're confident in our ability to produce quality products in mass and fulfill all our perks on time. However, things don’t always go as planned. Here are a few of the risks that may come up, and our plan to address them:

MANUFACTURING: We have a trusted manufacturer lined up and will have quality assurance people on-site during production. Despite this, manufacturing delays can still happen. Whether it’s an unexpected backlog, bad timing with holidays, COVID-related issues with the supply chain, or a quality assurance issue on the ground floor, we’ll let you know immediately. Our #1 priority is product quality followed by timely delivery.

FULFILLMENT: Sometimes, stuff happens that can’t be planned for: a supplier misses a deadline, a package gets held up at customs, a shipment gets lost, or a global pandemic shuts down shipping ports around the world. Those things can cause delays. We are using an experienced logistics team to get our products to you. We’ll keep open and honest communication with you through our process so you know where your product is and when it’s going to get to you. Exceptional Customer Service is our main goal, as each and every Affinitea VIP is family to us!

MACHINE BREAK-UP FEE: The Affinitea Brewer is being supplied as part of our initial subscription offer. If you are not happy with this subscription service, there are two options. First- keep the machine and cancel the subscription. For this, there is a $45.00 Break-Up Fee. Second- cancel the subscription and return the machine pre-paid to Affinitea. We have build our machines and the underlying technology to have a 5 year lifespan, and to be extremely efficient in the use of water resources.

Reusability and recyclability

The Affinitea Infusion Machine is designed to eliminate the need for tea bags, through the implementation of a reusable brewing chamber, therefore it reduces the impact to the environment.

Sustainable materials

The Affinitea ClearView Brewing Chamber is designed with a high density metal mesh screen to eliminate the need for disposable filters or capsules, which are detrimental to the environment.

Environmentally friendly factories

As we ramp up our production to meet the demand from this campaign, we intend to ensure that all factories meet the highest standards for minimizing our environmental impact.

Sustainable Distribution

As we gain subscribers and build out our product delivery infrastructure, we intend to make every effort to remain carbon neutral.

Something else

Tea is the second most consumed beverage on the planet, next to water. Therefore, reducing the need for tea bags and RTD (Ready to Drink) beverages, which are very bad for the environment, will make a huge impact on the environment.

Meet Robert, with over 30 years of experience in sales, marketing, and product development. Accomplished at strategic new products and tactical solutions that improve consumer’s experiences. While at Salton, Inc. he was involved in helping build the company from $50M to $1.2B in sales. The most exciting growth came from our George Foreman launch and line-up of products. As an entrepreneur, he has started and sold various businesses that have created major programs with various accounts from William Sonoma to Walmart. These businesses have been in the personal care and small kitchen electrics arena. He has several patents in co-creating the Affinitea Brewing System.
